Newsletter -
YASU TALK
The Yorkshire Adult School Union produces it own illustrated
Newsletter, called YASU TALK with many interesting and thought
provoking articles, usually written by members, however guest authors
are most welcome.
Past issues
include articles as diverse as the Stephen Joseph Theatre,
Scarborough, aspects of the Sheffield cutlery industry, the Yorkshire
dialect, details of a visit to the Botanical Gardens, views on the
national structure of the Police Force, experiences on being a School
Governor, and on being a prison visitor, and the Queen’s visit to
Harewood. Details are
given of many websites containing additional related information,
which allows members to explore and enjoy the content of the articles
in greater depth.
The
current Anniversary issue includes articles on pocket knives, a
feature on how the 2003 Handbook was presented to various groups,
details of the Oakwell Hall Embroidery Group and their activities, a
report on a visit to the Rotherham MAGNA Centre and foreign language
learning for older people - 'AVAY VOOZ OON CUPPA?'
